The last of us | Première
An abandoned world overgrown by nature, where behind every corner there seems to be something hidden. For the premiere of The Last of Us at LAB111 in Amsterdam, we participated in a grim, mysterious setting on behalf of BAAS Amsterdam. With weathered materials, raging greenery and custom décor we brought the post-apocalyptic atmosphere to life. This is how the experience began before visitors entered the cinema room.
A world slowly taken over
The world of The Last of Us was the inspiration for the decoration: raw, abandoned and ominous. Metal fences, rusty tons and old electronics got a place between moss, hanging plants and whimsical mold shapes. As if everything had been left behind and nature had been given free rein.
The combination of vegetation, weathered surfaces and industrial details made the setting recognizable. An environment where you want to look around, but still look over your shoulder.
Making or: the apocalypse starts in our workshop
We invented, designed and made part of the decor in our own workshop. Here we worked on the mold structures and overgrown decor panels. We played with shapes, colors and textures and brought the loose parts together to decor pieces that seemed to come from an abandoned building.
These details made the difference: fungus shapes that spread along a fence, green that grows between materials and left behind objects that become part of the story.
This is how we make Boozed experience tangible. From first idea to custom decor: We build worlds that take visitors into a story.
