Seeing is going on!
Due to the shift from live to online and hybrid events, there is even more viewing screens than before. Boring screens make the visitor drop out sooner. The message can still be so interesting, the eye also wants something!
A good studio setting does wonders for the time that visitors are online at your event and stay. If the surroundings feel comfortable, then the message also comes in better.
At Boozed we often see that the style and atmosphere in which the live event would be, is completely forgotten when switching to an online event. Shame, because you can achieve a fitting decor, even with small budgets.
If you have an interactive program with different topics, think of a Private House & Garden or Coffee Time atmosphere supplemented with perhaps a Quiz. If it is a serious message then a DWDD setting can be an option.
Make conscious choices based on the message, but also the total time you want to tie the viewers to you. If you "send" for more than 15 minutes, make sure you have different settings. By moving the host(s) the audience also has the idea that it moves along and you hold the attention longer.
Also include your target audience in the show as much as possible through real interaction. Movement, chat features, catering packages at home. There are several possibilities to reduce the distance between live and digital. Anything to strengthen and maintain the emotional bond with your supporters.
At hybrid events where there are two target groups, it is interesting to offer something different online than live on location. This can be a projection that is only visible online, or for example a sound experience that cannot be heard during the physical event. See hybrid events as two separate but connected events.
Also, the setting should not distract from the content. We've seen the flickering and moving studios come by, don't! Events with just that one crazy, unique moment that caused a lot of reactions afterwards, are successful. Just an item in the picture that you don't expect, makes you have the attention completely. Dare to think out of the box.
