As of 1 July, Jeroen Wegman officially starts as Director of Operations at Boozed. A new role, but above all a logical step. Because Boozed is growing. In projects, in people, in ambitions and in everything behind the scenes is needed to get experiences smoothly from idea to location.
Over the past period we thought a lot about the next phase of Boozed. How do we organise our organisation smarter? How do we make teams work together even better? And how do we hold the energy of Boozed as the scale increases? In Jeroen we found someone who brings exactly that: overview, experience, structure and a fresh look. But at least as important: Someone who fits the culture of Boozed.
Although his official starting date is July 1st, Jeroen is present regularly in June. To watch, to get to know colleagues, to feel the operation and to come on track step by step. So it is time to introduce him better!

Jeroen lives in Nootdorp and worked at various organizations over the years. He gained a lot of experience in leading teams, building strong processes and setting up events. From small and intimate to large and impressive. Just that combination of operational craftsmanship and sense of experience makes Boozed a logical next step for him.
Boozed is a fantastic company with a rich history," says Jeroen. "There are nice people who have everything to make a total experience. From creative, marketing, design and work preparation to realization in the workshop, warehouse, logistics and finally clean up everything neatly on site. That's unique.
And that operation is not small. With a warehouse of almost 10,000 square meters, a team of 55+ fellow cyclists and another 60+ freelancers on the outdoor service, a lot happens every day. Ideas become concepts and drawings become constructions. Teams switch, plan, drive, build and break down again. That calls for an overview. Not to tighten everything until the energy is out, but to make room for creativity, quality and fun.
In the end, we all do that to help our customers with beautiful events," says Jeroen. "If that goes well and there is a lot of fun with each other, then I do my job well.

Outside working time Jeroen likes the BBQ, he makes the water unsafe with a boat, depending on the season and wind power, or goes fishing with his son. Beekeepers may also be back on schedule one day, as soon as there is time. What about what you can wake him up for? That answer is simple: pancakes with syrup.
