From workshops and quick wins to smart CO2 reduction and a quartet drink in B Corp style: This quarter was all about this. In this update we take you into 10 activities with which we take concrete steps towards a more sustainable, conscious and fairer world
1. Grooblue impact game
During an interactive workshop we started with the B Corp Game. The goal: to focus on our ambitions and to determine steps towards us Big Hairy Audacious Goal. We selected impact business models that suit us and chose concrete action points from the game to set up the next period. Grooblue accompanied the session with clear explanations and substantive expertise. Thanks!
2. Sustainability report
At Boozed we believe events can be great without a big footprint. That is why we are working hard on a sustainability report, in which we show how we do it: from circular design to CO2 reduction, reuse and fair working practices. We measure our impact, set ambitious targets, such as fully circular in 2035 and work with customers, suppliers and colleagues to get there. The report provides a clear overview of where we stand, what we do and what we work towards: a sector that inspires and accepts responsibility. Stay tuned, we'll share it online soon!

3. CO2 measurement
In 2023, we started measuring our CO2 emissions on four fronts: waste, material procurement, office energy and transport. These figures formed the basis for targeted action. And that worked: by designing our environmental island smarter and expanding circular collaborations in the chain, we already reduced our waste by 50% in 2024. Meanwhile, we continue to collect data to steer for impact. Because the better we measure, the smarter we can make sustainable.
4. B Champ meetings
Every last Tuesday of the month is Sustainable Tuesday! Together with the multidisciplinary B Champ team we discuss our progress. Have all the action points been taken? We work on the basis of prioritized actions from previous reports and the B Corp Impact Game. Using an impact-effort map, we map clearly what results and costs little effort (yes please), and what specifically requires little contribution (skip!). We have already achieved a lot of quick wins and there are important improvements to the planning.
5. Art academy recycling
We've been giving residual materials a second life for a long time by donating them to lots they can use. Recently, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KABK) in The Hague has also been included. Courteney, our technical designer and former student of the academy, made contact. The school enthusiastically responded to reusable materials are always welcome for creative projects. This first donation consisted of a colourful mix: from scaffolding boards and fabrics to artificial grass, tools and even the carts in which everything was delivered. Bonus Points: We combined the transport smartly with a ride to an event location nearby.

6. Employee satisfaction survey
We started the year at Boozed with an employee satisfaction survey. If you want to make an impact, you got to take care of your own staff. We asked all Boozed colleagues what they think of the workload, growth, cooperation, communication, security and facilities. The results, both figures and fair stories, were translated into concrete action points. Because listening is good, but doing something with it is better!
7. B Corp drink and quartet
To make B Corp live even better within the team, we organized a freemibo with B Corp Game. Think: scavenger hunt meets quartet with the 8 new B Corp-themes in the lead. We hid 32 B Corp cards throughout our property, which had to be found in teams before they could play the quartet. The competitive urge was unstoppable: Colleagues ran in all directions, dived under tables and crossed the shed... All Boozers learned about the new B Corp standards and the winners went home with great B Corp prizes from among others Tonys and Rituals.

8. B Corp recertification
In Q1 2025 the new B Corp guidelines came out and we keep a close eye on them. Not only because we have to recertify in 2026, but also because the game has changed considerably: from 5 to 8 themes where you have to score a sufficient amount. No room to sit back so! In the coming months, we will continue to prepare for our recertification through data collection, reporting and periodic meetings to monitor our progress.
9. Improving communication: Intranet
Angry grows! It is precisely then that good communication is crucial. We also want everyone to find important information easily. That's why we launched our brand new intranet in early 2025: the central place where you find everything you like Boozer wants to know. From the weekly message and MT updates to the internal event calendar and which colleagues are absent. No more fuss with lost PDFs, but always everything in one place is clear and up to date.
10. B Corp South Holland measuring-up
We participated in the first evening of B Corps South Holland! The enthusiastic group with the no-nonsense atmosphere of Rotterdam shares the same goal: doing business for good. During a workshop and drink we thought together about improvements within our organisations and the region. Thanks. Nexio Projects for the organization of the kick-off and bringing together these beautiful companies!
