Drapery and ceiling decoration trends

At the beginning of 2026, Boozed took over the activities of P&A Artistics, experts in the field of atmospheric ceiling decorations with draped fabrics. This not only brought us a large collection of fabrics, but also more than 30 years of knowledge of drapery, ceiling decoration and spatial styling.

Because event design doesn't stop at eye level: We look at the whole room, from walls and entrances to the ceiling. Think of meters high curtains, wavy ceilings, sculptural shapes and striking colours. We pre-sign the drapes based on the concept and space. During the construction our team can fine tune: more volume, another fold or just another line. This is how technology, preparation and styling come together perfectly.

From this new combination of P&A knowledge and Boozed experience design we look at what is happening now in drapere. These are three developments that our team will build on in the near future.

1. Go big or go home

Great thinking is the trend when it comes to draperies. Where textiles used to be mainly used as subtle clothing, we now see imposing installations that embrace the entire space. Dramatic proportions. Think of meters high curtains, wavy ceiling drapes or monumental entrances that immediately impress. By working large-scale with dust, a compelling experience arises in which guests feel in a completely different world.

2. Knotted, folded & turned

Textiles with more shape and character, yes! By knotting, draping, wrapping or playful folding fabrics, a layered and sculptural effect is created that attracts immediate attention. This organic way of working gives each design a unique look and shows that textiles can be much more than a background.

3. Striking colours and materials

Sometimes a space only needs one striking element to leave a lasting impression. A deep burgundy fabric, a shiny satin cloth or a rich velvet texture can give a decor a luxurious and distinctive look. By deliberately opting for a pronounced colour or material, textiles are given a leading role instead of a supporting function. It is precisely these daring choices that give an event character and keep guests up for a long time.
