At the end of September, the design team of Boozed visited the ShowUp fair. Yes! Finally another fair that we experienced in real-life and just before the new measures of September 28th. We were equally enthusiastic, but also curious how the exhibition organisation was going to realize this. We were inspired not only by the exhibitors, but also by the stock exchange organisation itself.
Support your event
As everyone knows, we are now dealing with COVID-19, "No shit Sherlocks." This means that many companies and agencies have to be very creative to keep themselves standing. This also applies to us as Boozed. But hey, being creative is in our DNA so bring it on! It's all new, you got to dare, be creative and learn from it. For example, a while ago we set up Project Playground with some other great initiators. We showed here that it's real. That is precisely why we became so enthusiastic about the fact that ShowUp followed this with their fair in the flesh, in a real location with real people. With the right measures, but it's definitely worth it. So we thought it was very nice that the stock exchange organisation showed balls, but they didn't do this alone. Without the visitors, no scholarship. They showed that they have confidence in the industry and support the stock market and stockholders in this way. Nice to see, who's next?
COOVID-19 measures
The fair took place in the Brabanthallen. A beautiful location where there was more than enough space to ensure enough inspiring stands and 1.5 meters. From the entrance was already taken into account signposting and above the counter hung beautiful screens processed with dry flowers. Super trendy solution! Furthermore, the entire fair marked the route through floor stickers and the aisles were nicely spacious so you could walk the fair undisturbed and quietly.
We were also very curious about the terraces. A terrace should radiate cosiness and be inviting, but often with the 1.5 meter rule it can be more static. They had tackled this well by processing dots in the carpet to indicate a standing or sitting place. That dot at the same time was also a kind of reminder that you consider staying in place. 'Cause we're still people, and that five feet is just not natural. So super solution!
Inspiration
What did we see above all come to the fair and is worth highlighting:
- Dryflowers were all over the place to find, but they are also so nice!
- Colour of the year: Brave Ground, not so much this color but the earth tones were visible in many ways in the stands/products
- What also struck us was the eyecatcher of Butterfly & Vogel. You can't have a better translation from word to image. This was really very cool and also provided a natural roundabout on the exhibition floor.
- Groovy Magnets. This was the real winner of Daisy, magnetically personalized wallpaper with a whole range of different products that you can hang on the wall. Super convenient when you like restyling and you want to keep your wall whole ?.
- In terms of uniform stand construction they had a very nice, simple solution. A back-to-back stand with storage space, finished with a curtain. Very tight and trendy design.
All in all an inspiring scholarship and here we were just ready again, ShowUP!

As you have read, our visit was before 28 September and thus before the measures were tightened. However, we would like to stress that even now the organisation of fairs is still permitted. Want to know what we can do for you in that? Please contact us at Info@boozed.nl.
