More impact, less footprint: 10 steps for more sustainable events

More impact, less footprint: 10 steps for more sustainable events

At Boozed we show how clients can easily make their event or brand experience more sustainable. As a proud B Corp, certified by B Lab Benelux, we focus on a fully circular business process in 2035. Under the motto "Let's create impact," we present ten practical steps that allow organisations to make a direct difference together with their event partner: from smart material choices and sustainable catering to conscious mobility and reusable concepts. This makes impact concrete and feasible.

1. Smarter transport plans

As soon as the date and the up and down moments are known, we see how rides can be combined. A small shift in planning can already reduce transport movements and thus reduce CO2 emissions. By strategically planning our logistics, we achieve efficiency as a direct sustainability gain.

2. Prevent extra journeys

A final check before construction prevents after deliveries. That saves costs and emissions. Every avoided ride counts! Especially when you consider that 1 litre diesel equals 2.68 kg CO2. Clear communication and joint final control make the difference.

3. Silk flowers instead of fresh

Flower arrangements make atmosphere, but silk flowers are often more durable than fresh alternatives. They last more than ten years and can have up to 80% less impact per use than buying new flowers. Moreover, they retain their perfect appearance throughout the event.

4. Leave Emballage on location

By temporarily leaving packaging material (emballing) on site, the phasing-out is more efficient and transport returns lighter. The space released can be used to bring materials from other events, making extra journeys unnecessary. In this way logistics will be smarter and more sustainable.

5. Reusing branding via Brandportal

Strong surf doesn't have to be one time. Through the Boozed Brandportal, materials can be stored and re-used at subsequent events. This saves raw materials, production time and costs. At the same time, brand appearance remains consistently across multiple activations.

6. Sustainable choice of materials and recycling

From reusable frames to recyclable canvases: material selection makes a big difference. In collaboration with partners, print cloths are given a second life afterward, for example as furniture. Thus raw materials remain in the chain and waste is actually reduced instead of moved.

7. Recycle bins with fixed branding

Waste separation during events becomes easier with special recycling waste bins. By storing branding or using existing designs, new printing is not always required. A small practical solution with visible impact on location.

8. Long-life customisation

We produce custom solutions in our own workshop. The focus is on reusability and durability. Damaged item? Then it is repaired or refinished, so that it remains usable for years. This makes customisation not a one-time investment, but a sustainable asset.

9. Rethinking & concepting

By thinking along in the concept phase, we can use existing materials smartly and propose sustainable alternatives. We believe that the greatest impact arises when creativity and sustainability go hand in hand. Just in this early phase we make the choices that later determine the difference.

10. Working with sustainable partners

The road to a circular economy we walk together. We work with sustainable partners and knowledge organisations to further increase our impact. We also actively invite our customers to share ideas and points of improvement so that sustainability becomes a joint responsibility.
